Wisdom tooth oral surgery is an outpatient procedure that usually takes 45 minutes or less. For surgical extractions with moderate to deep sedation, you will need a ride to and from your oral surgeon’s office. Your dentist or oral/maxillofacial surgeon should provide you with a list of instructions for home care after surgery.
