The Colorado Dental Association lobbied hard to get state legislators to increase Medicaid reimbursement for dental procedures and those efforts recently came to fruition. Colorado Governor Polis signed off on the state’s fiscal year 2024/2025 budget, set to take effect from July 1, 2024. Notably, the budget allocates more than $78 million toward substantial reimbursement rate increases for Medicaid dental providers.
