‘Ventilation Calculator’ May Help Dental Practices Improve Air Quality

Researchers at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York, have created a “ventilator calculator” to help dental practices improve their indoor air quality in an effort to mitigate the risk for SARS-CoV-2 transmission. The calculator determines the number of air changes per hour in a given space, which then informs oral health professionals on whether they need to implement additional strategies, such as adding an air cleaner, to increase the ventilation rate.
