New research out of Sweden demonstrates that patients with COVID-19 face an increased risk for myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke. The study compared the prevalence of heart attack and stroke among more than 86,000 individuals with COVID-19 to more than 300,000 participants without SARS-CoV-2 infection.
