A new study recently published in the Lancet found that the effectiveness of the Pfizer vaccine to fight COVID-19 infection drops significantly after 6 months. Following administration of the second dose of the two-shot series, the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine at preventing infection with SARS-CoV-2 is 88%, but after 6 months, this percentage drops to 47%.
